Kaddu seals a point for Kitara against Soroti City

Written by on January 5, 2023

Kitara were held to a one all draw by Soroti City in the FUFA Big League game played at Soroti Municipal Stadium.

Patrick Kaddu gave the visitors a halftime lead before Lawrence Olaboro equalised for the hosts.

Mark Twinamatsiko’s side failed to stretch their lead at the summit of the 16 team logo table courtesy of a poor away record.

The Royals have now drawn their third game on the road with two defeats and a win while scoring just six and conceding eight times.

Kitara FC needed 44 minutes to take the lead after leading scorer Kaddu taped in from close range after the Soroti City custodian Joshua Okwaput failed to deal with Moses Sseruyidde’s shot at goal.

Soroti City restored parity through Olaboro in the 49th minute for what proved to be the last goal of the match.

The visitors will ruin missed chances with Abasi Kateregga, Paddy Muhumuza and Edison Agondeze all coming close.

Kitara are top of the table with 27 points while Soroti City remain 15th on the log with 11 points after 13 matches.
